RESOLUTION NO. 2005
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANOE ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF A
SECTION OF BRIGHTON AVENUE (STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
CODE SECTION 8323, ET SEQ.)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has elected
to proceed under provisions of Streets and Highways Code Section 8321,
et seq., and in accordance with the provisions thereof, by Resolution,
the Arroyo Grande City Council set the time and place for Public Hearing
for the vacation of said City street at 8:00 P.M" November 11, 1986,
in the Arroyo Grande City Council Chambers; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has found, on the basis of evidence produced
at the Public Hearing, that a portion of Brighton Avenue, hereinafter
described, is unnecessary for present or future public street purposes. --
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the hereinafter described portion
of Bri ghton Avenue be abandoned and it is so ordered, reservi ng therefrom
a public utility easement over and across the easterly 100 feet thereof,
and over and across the westerly six (6) feet thereof.
That portion of Brighton Avenue lying adjacent to the south
line of Block 49 of the Town of Grover, according to the map
recorded in Book A, Page 6 of Maps, in the office of the Recorder
of San Luis Obispo County, described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Tract 1309, according
to the map recorded in Book 12, Page 61 of Maps, said corner
being on a line which is parallel with and 20.00 feet south
of south line of said Block; thence, along said parallel line
N 860 42' 40" W 308.41 feet to the beginning of a curve to
the right having a radius of 24.00 feet and which is tangent
to a line parallel with and 3.00 east of the west line of said
Block; thence, along said curve through a central angle of
800 24' 21" a distance of 33.68 feet to the south line of said
Block, a radial bearing to which point hears S 830 41' 41"
W; thence, along said south Block line S 860 42' 40" E
332.07 feet to the west line of said Tract 1309; thence,
along last said line, S 30 16' 00" W 20.00 feet to the
Point of Beginning.
On motion of Council Member Moots, seconded by Council Member Johnson,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Smith and Council Members Johnson, Moots and Porter
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Gallagher
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 11th day of November,
1986.
