A RESOLUTION OF THE CI1Y OOUNCIL OF THE CI1Y OF
ARROYO GRANDE AMENDING RESOLUTION 1974 WIUCH
ADOPTED AN EMPLOYEE BENEFIT PROGRAM, INCLUDING A
SALARY SCHEDULE, POsmON CLASSIFICATIONS AND SALARY
S'lEPS WITHIN THE RESPECI1VE RANGES FOR OONFIDENTIAL
EMPLOYEES,PART-TIMBEMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, RESERVES
AND MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL FOR 1986/87, 1987/88 AND
1988/89, WHERE APPLICABLE, AND WHICH REPEALED
RESOLUTIONS 1778 AND 1787 ON JULY I, 1986.
THE CI1Y OOUNCIL OF THE CI1Y OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Resolution No 1974, adopted on June 24, 1986, contains a nuamer of cJcrical and
mathematical errors and failed to provide wage rates for a part-time employee ..I...ification and did not
contain a schedule of salary ranges for ..I..sified personnel; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande to cause
correction of such errors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the teDDl of this resolution abaIl be effeCtive
July 1, 1986 and abaIl apply to the fiscal years 1986/87, 1987/88 and 1988/89.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, this resolution abaIl amend ResoJ"tJnn No. 1974, which
i est. hli.hed an employee benefit program, as follows:
I 1. The part-time CIJtI!oyees seCtion abaIl be added to include hourly rates for the
I Casbier/Data Entry Cerk position as follows:

I Casbier/Date Entry Cerk $5.25 $5.50 $5.80
I 2. The "Monthly Rate" for Police Reserves shall be amended to read "Hourly Rate".

3. The hourly rate for Police Reserve Officer I shall be amended from "$1.30" to "$7.30".
4. The monthly rate for the Parks and Recreation DireCtor shall be amended from" $3000" to
"$2875" .
5. The monthly City contribution to the Police onef's PERS plan shall be amended from
"$383" to "$182.50".
6. The hourly rates for preschool teachers shall be amended to read as follows:
"Pre-School Teacher (0-2 yrs. svc.) 6.64 7.00 7.30"
"Pre-School Teacher (2- 3 yrs. svc.) 7.00 7.35 7.70"
"Pre-School Teacher (3+ yrs. svc.) 7.36 7.75 8.10"
7. Exhibits A, B and C to this Resolution shall be attached and incorporated as a part of
Resolution 1974 in order to provide a wage rate schedule for (la"i6ed eqdoyees.
On motion of Cotm..i~er Johnson, seconded by Cotm,.;!moomher Moors, and on the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Snith, and Cotm,.;!moomhers Gallagher, Johnson, Moors and Porter
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 8th day of July, 1986.
