RESOLUTION NO. 1968
A RESOLUTION .OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DIRECTING THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS TO USE
ALTERNATIVE MEASURES OF COLLECTING
ASSESSMENTS FOR INSTALLATION OF CONCRETE CURBS,
GUTTERS, SIDEWALKS, DRIVEWAY APRONS
AND DRIVEWAY CONFORMANCE
.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has confirmed
assessments per Resolution No. 1962 for the construction of concrete curbs,
gutters, sidewalks, driveway aprons, and driveway conformance for the
South side of Le Point Street from Mason to Tally Ho Road; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to provisions of "The Improvement Act of 1911,"
being Division 7, Chapter 27 of the Streets and Highway Code of the State
of California, the legislative body may direct the Superintendent of Streets
to use alternative methods of collection of assessments per Section 5893;
and
WHEREAS, the assessment amounts of $2,955.91 has not been paid for
installation of curbs, 9utters, sidewalks and driveway aprons on properties
located at 312 Le Point (A.P. 7-202-18) and a vacant lot Southerly (A.P.
7-202-17); and
WHEREAS, all notices have been given for collection of assessments
as provided by law and required by the provisions of the "Improvement
I Act of 1911."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande, as follows:
That Notice of Liens in the principal amounts of $1,599.75 for (A.P.
7-20218) and $1,356.16 for (A.P. 7-202-17) which represent the costs of
installation of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveway aprons and driveway
conformance incurred by the City under direction of the Superintendent
of Streets shall be turned over to the County Tax Collector for collection
with interest pursuant to Section 5S93 of the Streets and Highway Code.
I On motion of Councilmember Gallagher, seconded by Councilmember Johnson,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit;
AYES: Mayor Smith and Councilmembers Gallagher, Johnson and Moots
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Porter
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 10th day of June,
1986.
