ARROYO GRANDE SUH'OR'11NG 'lHE AWLICA110N FOR A
'lRAFFIC SAFE'IY PRO.1BCT GRANT.
WHEREAS, the aty of Arroyo Grande has detemined a need to inp'ove traffic
safety; and
WHEREAS, the aty of Arroyo Grande has recently adopted the arculation Element of
the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, iIqJlementation of the arcuJation Element requires additional detailed study
and improvement reconmendatioos; and
WHEREAS, traffic safety is designated as a major goal in the Inmediate future.
NOW, 'IHEREFORE, BE 1'1' RESOLVED that the aty Council of the aty of Arroyo
Grande supports the application for a traffic safety II'Oject grant and urges IIp[:I'Oval of the
grant application.
On IOOtion of Council Menbel' Gallagher, seconded by Council Member Moots, and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Srrith and CouncIImenbers Gallagher, Jomson and Moots
NOES: Nooe
ABSENT: CounciJmenber Porter
the foregoing Resolutioo was passed and adopted this 10th day of June, 1986.
