RESOLUTION NO. 1934
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LANDMARK TREE 86-25

WHEREAS, Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of A~~oyo,
Grande provides for the preservation and protection of certain trees in
order_ to produce a mo~e desirable, pleasing and beautiful community and
to maintain and enhance community hlstO~IC, cultural and p~operty
'JaluE:>s, as well as to p~omote thE:> public hE:>alth, safety, comfo~t, and
"Jelfa-re; a-nd
ldHEREAS, this tree at 214 E. Branch Street, ir, the City of A~~oyo
Grande, and as located and identified on the ma~ attached to this
resolution, has been examined by the ParKs and ecreation Director of
the City ot Arroyo Grande and has been found to be a Monterey Pine; and
WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configu~ation, and
historical value meets criteria for LandmarK tree designation as
determined by the ParKs and Rec~eation Di~ecto~ and Plannino Commission;
and -
l.JHEREAS, the ParKs and Recreation Commission of the City of Arroyo
Grande r-ecornrTlends to tr,e City Council that this t~ee should be pr-eserved
and p~otected and designated as a Landma~K tr.ee.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of A~~oyo G~ande hereby
desionates this t~ee as a Landma~K T~ee and di~ects that it shaJJ be
monumented as Landma~k T~ee Numbe~ 86-25; and
FURTHERMORE, this t~ee shall be p~otected, p~ese~ved and maintained
by the t~ee owner and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be
removed or dest~oyed by any pa-rty unless otherwise authorized by
Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande.
