A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNATING A LANDMARK TREE 85-9
~ WHEREA~, Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code ?f the City of A~royo
~rande provides for the preservation and protection of certain trees in
clrder.. to pr.oduce a mo~e desirable, pleasing and beautiful community and
to maintain and enhance community historic, cultu~al and property
val~es, as well as to p~omote the pub I ic health, safety, comfo~t, and
weltare; and
WHEREAS, this ~~ee at.859 Todd Ln. in the City of Arroyo G~ande,
and as located and Identified on the map attached to this ~esolutlon
has been examined by the Pa~Ks and Rec~eation Di~ecto~ of the City of
t H~~OYO G~ande and has been found to be a Sycamo~e; and

WHEREAS, this t~ee, due to its age, species, confiQu~ation, and
histo~ical value meets c~ite~ia fo~ Landma~K tree designation as
determi ned b>' the ParKs and Rec~eation Di~ecto~ and Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the ParKs and Rec~eation Commission of the Ci ty of A~r.o>'o
Grande ~ecommends to the City Council that th i s tree should be preserved
and protected and designated as a Landma~K tree.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby
desiQnates this tree as a LandmarK Tree and directs that i t s.hall be
monumented as LandmarK Tree Number 85-9; and
FURTHERMORE. this tree shall be protected, pre.ser.ved and maintained
by the tree owner and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be
removed or destroyed by any party unless otherwise authorized by
Sec.l0-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the City of Arroyo Grande.
