RmIOLUTION OF 'mE Cl'lY OOUNCIL
OF 'mE Cl1Y OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESlGNA1ING A LANDMARK 'mEE 85-1
WHEREAS, Sec.l0-3.06 of the Munlcipal Code of the aty of Arroyo Grande lX'Ovides for the
preservation and lX'Otection of certain trees in order to produce a more desirable, pleasing and
beautiful coommity and to maintain and enhance conmunity historic, cultural and property values, as
well as to promote the public health, safety, comfort, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, this tree on lot number seventeen of the Le Point Addition V to the aty of
I Arroyo Grande, and as located and identified on the map attached to this resolution, has been examined
I by the Parks and Recreation Director of the aty of Arroyo Grande and has been found to be a live oak;

I WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configuration, and historical value meets
criteria for Landmark tree designation as detennined by the Parks and Recreation Director and
Planning Coomission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Cbnmission of the aty of Arroyo Grande reconmends to the aty
Council that this tree should be preserved and lX'Otected and designated as a Landmark tree.
NOW 'IHEREFORE, the aty Cbuncil of the aty of Arroyo Grande hereby designates this
tree as a Landmark 'Iree and directs that it shall be IOOmunented as Landmark 'Iree Number 85-7; and
FUR'IHERMORE, this tree shall be lX'Otected, preserved and maintained by the tree owner
and sUOOequent tree owners and such tree shall not be rerooved or destroyed by any party unless
otherwise authorized by Sec. 10-3.06 of the Munlcipal Code of the aty of Arroyo Grande.
