RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF TIlE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DESIGNA'I1NG A LANDMARK 'lREE 85-6
WHEREAS, Sec.l0-3.06 of the Mwticipal OJde of the Qty of Arroyo Grande provides fa'the
preservation and protection of certain trees in order to produce a lIJOI"e desirable, pleasing and
beautiful conmmity and to maintain and enhance COITmIIIity historic, cultural and property values, as
well as to pranote the public health, safety, comfort, and welfare; and
WHEREAS, this tree on lot nunber seventeen of the Le Point Addition V to the Qty of
{ , Arroyo Grande, and as located and identified on the map attached to this resoJution,has been examined
I by the Parks and Recreation Director of the Qty of Arroyo Grande andhas been fOWld to be a live oak;
l and
r. WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configuration, and historical value meets
criteria for Landmark tree designation as determined by the Parks and Recreation Director and
Planning Coornission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning O:mnission of the Qty of Arroyo Grande recoomends to the Qty
Council that this tree should be preserved and protected and designated as a Landmark tree.
NOW THEREFORE, the Qty Council of the Qty of Arroyo Grande hereby designates this
tree as a Landmark 'I\'ee and directs that it shall be IOOlIlDIIelIted as Landmark 'I\'ee N1.IIDer 85-6; and
FURTIIERMORE, this tree shall be protected, ~ eserved and maintained by the tree owner
and subsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be removed a', destroyed by any party WIless
otherwise authorized by Sec. 10-3.06 of the Municipal Code of the Qty of Arroyo Grande.
On rotion of Council MenDer Gallagher, seconded by CoW1Cil Member Moots, and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:

the foregoing ResoJution was passed and adopted the 27th day of Aug\J!lt, 1985.
