A RESOLUTION OF 'lBE aT! OOUNaL
OF 'lBE aT! OF ARROYO GRANDE.
DESIGNA11NG A LANDMARK 'IBEE 85-2
WHEREAS, Sec.10-3.06 of the MWlicipal Cede of the Oty of Arroyo Grande ~des fa the
preservation and protection of certain trees in order to produce a more desirable, pleasing and
beautiful coommity and to maintain and enhance COIIIlIUIIity historic, cultural and property values, lIS
well lIS to promote the public health, safety, canCort, and weJfsre; and
WHEREAS, this tree on lot lIUIWer fifteen of the Le Point Addition V to the aty of Arroyo
Grande, and lIS located and identified on the map attached to this resolution, has been examined by the
Parks and Recreation Director of the aty of Arroyo Grande and has been found to be a live oak; and

WHEREAS, this tree, due to its age, species, configuration, and bistorical value meets
criteria for I..an<!IJIIl'k tree designation as detemined by the Parks and Recreatim Director and
Planning Cmmission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Coomission of the aty of Arroyo Grande l'eCOIIJDBI1<iI to the aty
Council that this tree should be preserved and protected and designated as a LondmIIrk tree.
NOW 'lHEREFORE, the aty Council of the aty of Arroyo Grande hereby designates this
tree lIS a Landmark 'Il'ee and directs that it shall be trolRJIIIel1ted as Landmark 'Il'ee Nunber 85-2; and
FUR'lHBRMORE, this tree shall be protected, preserved and maintained by the tree owner
and sutsequent tree owners and such tree shall not be removed a destroyed by any party unless
otherwise authorized by Sec. 10-3,06 of the Municipal Code of the Oty of Arroyo Grande.
On rotion of Council MenDer Gallagher, seconded by Council MenDer Moots, and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Maya Smith, Council Menbers Jolmson, Moots, Porter, and Ga1Jagher,
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None,
