RESOLUTI ON NO. 1848
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTI NG THE STATE DEPARTI1ENT OF
TRANSPORTATION ON FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION
TO APPROVE FEDERAL AID URBAN PROJECT FOR THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has in the 1982 U. S. Surface
Transportation Act declared it to be in the national interest for federal funds to be
expended for highway projects on the Federal Aid Urban System; and
WHEREAS, before Federal Aid will be available for urban system projects within
the urban area, the Federal Aid Urban Project must be designated.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California, requests that the proposed Federal Aid
Urban proj ec t be des i gnated as "RECONSTRUCTI ON OF OAK PARK BOULEVARD
INTERCHANGE AT U. S. 101" (vicinity map attached) and such be
approved by the State Department of Transportation and the Federal
Highway Administration as a Federal Aid Urban Project. This Project
could include channelization; signalization; bridge, ramp and
frontage road reconstruction and/or relocation; as well as appropriate
modification to approaches.
Copies of the Resolution shall be forwarded to San Luis Obispo County
Engineering Department for transmittal to the California Department of
Transportation.
On motion of Council Member Gallagher, seconded by Council Member Moots,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Gallagher, Johnson, Moots, Porter and Mayor Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted the 23rd day of Apri I 1985.
