RESOLUTI ON NO. 1825
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ACCEPTING OFFER TO
BUY REAL PROPERTY, KNOWN AS THE WHITELEY
PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande has previously
adopted its Resolution No. 1789 of its intention to sell real property of the
City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intention to sell the said real property was duly
posted and published as required by law; and
WHEREAS, January 25, 1985, at 3:00 P.M. in the City Manager's Office of
the City of Arroyo Grande was the time and place set for the receiving of
sealed and oral bids for the purchase of said property; and
WHEREAS, MERILEE PECK is found to be the highest and best responsible
bidder, at a price of $162,500.00, including the $2,500.00 deposit paid with
the offer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor is further authorized to
sign a Quitclaim Deed to the Buyer for the property described in this Resolution
to be delivered through the escrow to be established by the City Manager and
Merilee Peck when the Deed has been approved by the City Attorney; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City consents to the recording of the
aforesaid Deed for the property described below upon delivery through escrow.
That certain real property located in the incorporated City of Arroyo Grande,
County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, described as follows:
'''The Whiteley Property' Owner, City of Arroyo Grande: Lots
7 and 8 in Block 12 of the Short, Mason and Whiteley Addition
to Town of Arroyo Grande; a portion of P.C.R.R. right of way;
and a portion of Lot 55 of the resubdivision of a part of
Ranchos Corral de Piedra, Pismo and Bolsa de Chamisa1."
On motion of Council Member Moots , seconded by Council Member Johnson,
and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Gallagher, Johnson, Hoots, Porter and Mayor Smith.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution is hereby adopted the 12th day of February 1985.
