RESOLUTI ON NO. 1792
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE GRANTING A USE PERMIT, CASE NO.
84-378, APPLIED FOR BY C/N SIGNS AND GRAPHICS, FOR
A SIGNING PLAN FOR CASA GRANDE MOTOR INN AND
MARIE CALLENDER'S RESTAURANT IN THE PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, WEST BRANCH STREET AND
OAK PARK BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a Public Hearing on this
request and recommended approval, subject to conditions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a Public Hearing on the proposed
sign plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the request is consistent with
the General Plan and other development standards of the Oak Park Development;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande approves the signing plan for the Casa Grande Motor Inn and
Marie Callender's Restaurant as described, and with the following conditions:
1. Combine signs for the two uses on one pole structure
to be located 40 feet from corner of West Branch Street
and Oak Park Boulevard, oriented to Highway 101. Sign
face area not to exceed 420 sq. ft.; maximum height
30 ft.
2. Locate 8 ft. high monument style reader board at site
of existing sign; reoriented to Oak Park Boulevard.
Conditions of Approval:
1. Resolve any conflict with utilities present at proposed
sign location.
2. Restrict sign location from drainage areas.
On motion of Council Member Gallagher, seconded by Council Member
Millis, and on the following rol1 call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Hogan and Mayor Smith
NOES: Councilman Millis
ABSENT: Councilman Vanderveer
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted on the 28th day of August 1984.
