R 1791 RESOLUTION NO. 1791 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE A CITY STREET WHEREAS, the Harvest Festival Parade Committee of the City of Arroyo Grande has requested closure of a portion of Branch Street (Highway 227) in the City of Arroyo Grande, State of California, for a short period of time; and WHEREAS, the purpose of the closure will be for purposes of conducting an annual parade in conjunction with the Arroyo Grande Valley Gay Nineties Harvest Festival activities, with said parade to be held between 9:30 A.M. and 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 29, 1984j and WHEREAS, the Arroyo Grande Police Department will arrange for signing, detouring of traffic and all traffic control during the per- iod of time that said street is requested for closure. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRAI'IDE HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 1. That request be made of the State of California Department of Transportation for permission to close a portion of Branch Street, also known as Highway 227, from U.S. 101 to Stanley Avenue, on the 29th day of September, 1984, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. 2. That the City Council authorizes closure of said street upon receipt of approval from the State Department of Transportation to said closure. On motion of Council Member Ga II agher , seconded by Council Member Hogan , and on the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Hogan and Mayor Smith NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Millis and Vandeveer the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 23rd day of August, 1984. 13\~~ MAYOR AITEST: L.
