A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING JIM GUTHRIE
COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANT PROGRAM PROJECTS
FOR YEAR 2019
WHEREAS, on September 23, 2014, the City Council approved the Community Service
Grant Program process and annually allocates $20,000 to implement the program; and
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2017, the City Council renamed the Community Service
Grant Program the Jim Guthrie Community Service Grant Program (JGCSGP); and
WHEREAS, the City received a total of ten (10) applications for the 2019 JGCSGP; and
WHEREAS, the City Council established a JGCSGP Review Panel (the "Panel")
consisting of one member from each of the City's current and former boards,
commissions and committees; and
WHEREAS, this Panel convened on February 7, 2019 to review the applications and
recommended funding allocations, as indicated in Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, on March 12, 2019 the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing to
consider proposed JGCSGP projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande, California, hereby approves the 2019 JGCSGP projects as set forth in Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
On motion of Council Member Barneich, seconded by Council Member George, and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Barneich, George, Storton, and Mayor Ray Russom
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Paulding
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 12th day of March, 2019.
