A RESOLlTTION OF THE CITY OOUNClL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE ADOPTING A PROGRAM
REOOGNIZING OUTSTANDING OONTRIBlTTIONS AND
PERFORMANCE BY CITY EMPLOYEES FROM TIME TO
TIME.
THE CITY OOUNClL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, this City Council desires to recognize outstanding contributions
and performances of City EmPoyees; and
WHEREAS, this Council desires a program structure for such recognition and
reward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council Outstanding
FmPoyee Performance Program is adopted, and shall operate as foD.ows:
Any member of the City Council, the Mayor, or the City Manager may
nominate a permanent or part-time CityanPoyee, fire volunteer, or police reserve for
special recognition. Such ncminations shall be in writing, subDitted to the city Manager,
stating reasons why the anPoyee, reserve or volunteer is ""...;n'ted for special
recognition. A ncmination may also contain a rec~ndation as to what fODll of
recognition shall be accorded the anPoyee, reserve or volunteer.
Recognition may be granted by the Council at its sole discretion, in any fODll
detenninedby the Council, ind",I;"g, but DOt limited to, proclamations, bonuses,
permanent salary adjustments or gifts.
Any permanent wage increase granted an employee so recognized shall be
granted for that anpleyee's personal performance, and such wage increase will not
accrue to any other employee or person, unless otherwise approved by the City Council,
nor shall any recognition alter any eDsiting Memorandum of Understanding.
On motion of Council Member Vandeveer, seconded by Council Member
Hogan, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer and Mayor Snitb.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Gallagher.
