R 1766 RESOLUTION NO. 1766 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ORDERING CLOSURE OF CROWN HILL AT THE INTERSECTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 227 AND HUASNA ROAD WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande heard testimony from the public regarding hazardous conditions at the intersection of Highway 227, Crown Hill, and Huasna Road; and WHEREAS, as a result of that testimony and personal knowledge of the area, the City Council ordered its closure by the Department of Public Works to be effective on April 11, 1984, by a motion adopted unanimously at the regular meeting of the Council on April 10, 1984; and WHEREAS, State and Highway Code, Section 1920, sets forth enabling legislation to establish minimum maintenance requirements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does by this Resolution confirm its action of April 10,1984, closing Crown Hill and hereby orders maintenance at the closure to be limited to that which is necessary to provide for appropriate barricading, drainage, and pedestrian movements. On motion by Council Member Gallagher, seconded by Council Member Hogan, and by the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer and Mayor Smith NOES: None ABSENT: None the foregoing Resolution was adopted this 22nd day of May 1984. {!;)'~~ MAYOR ATTEST: I, Vi ginia L.
