Deterioration of exterior siding, interior drywall and ceiling panels Interior paint and moldings Floor panels sagging Subfloor area soil to framing contact Roof is structurally ok but does not drain correctly and has significant leaks 6 8/29/2019 7 8/29/2019 The Mark M. Millis Community Center serves as: Administrative offices for the City’s Recreation Services Department Community center for activities such as: Children In Motion Before and After School Childcare Program Play and Learn Preschool Youth classes and camps Senior fitness, fall prevention, health & safety and art classes Meeting space for community groups On busy summer days, the building provides a base for over 125 children plus staff and community patrons.   8 8/29/2019 9 8/29/2019 Plans for the replacement recreation facility will produce the following: Community discussions to determine use, needs and goals for the Soto Sports Complex Based on feedback, site location and plans for facility Circulation plans with appropriate parking Cost estimates for replacement facility 10 8/29/2019 Next Steps: Identify funding opportunities for replacement facility Continue community involvement for development of Soto Sports Complex Partner with educational institutions to further planning goals 11 8/29/2019 Questions? 12
