RESOLUTION NO. 1706
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING REVISION OF THE
LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION'S SPHERE
OF INFLUENCE DECISION OF JUNE 16, 1983.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, by action adopted by the Local Agency Formation Commission
on June 16, 1983, the City of Arroyo Grande's sphere of influence was amended
to include approximately 170 acres designated as "Huber Ranch"; and
WHEREAS, notification of said action was sent to the City Council of
the City of Arroyo Grande by the deputy executive officer of the Local Agency
Formation Commission by correspondence dated June 20, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande did not request
inclusion of the "Huber Ranch" property within the sphere of influence line,
and that action was initiated by LAFCo rather than the City;
THEREFORE, pursuant to Government Code Section 54774.2, the City Council
of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby applies for a revision of the City of
Arroyo Grande's sphere of influence by deletion of the acreage designated
as "Huber Ranch" and in respect to this application requests both rehearing
and reconsideration by the Commission.
It is further requested that LAFCo waive reimbursement for the cost of
any amendment or revisions herein requested pursuant to provisions of
Government Code Section 54774.2.
On motion by Council Member Mi I I is , seconded by Council Member
Gallagher, and by the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Millis and Mayor Smith
NOES: Councilmen Vandeveer, Hogan
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 12th day of July, 1983.
