Hello,
My name is Annie Wald and I am a citizen of Arroyo Grande. I am writing today to demand
emergency council meetings and to deny the mayor's proposed budget. I would like to redirect
money away from Arroyo Grande, as well as San Luis Obispo, Pismo and Grover Beach,
Santa Maria, and Paso Robles Police Departments into these social service programs:
Black Communities
Healthcare for black communities
Education opportunities for black communities
Housing opportunities for black communities
It is crucial that this meeting is called because police are currently being paid overtime for
current protests.

My name is Annie Wald and I am a citizen of Arroyo Grande. I am writing today to demand
that we deny the proposed budget and any expansion to police budget. I would like to redirect
money away from Arroyo Grande Police Department into these social service programs:
Black Communities
Healthcare for black communities
Education opportunities for black communities
Housing opportunities for black communities
Community-led public safety
I demand that the council invest in community-based resources for public safety including
violence prevention and bystander intervention programs.
