City Council,
I have served on various iterations of Marketing Committees with the Chamber for more than
10 years, and I currently serve as Chair to the AG TBID Advisory Board. My marketing
background includes a degree in Marketing from the Univ. of Wisconsin, creation of the Doc
Burnstein’s brand, and recently I began teaching a marketing class at Cal Poly.
The work I have seen done by the Chamber and Verdin for the past two years is truly
impressive to me. I have been closely looking at the increased revenues to the TBID as a
result of their work, and I feel the City would be wise to continue to build upon the progress
made by these efforts. I reviewed the strategic plan done by Coraggio, Verdin and the
Chamber, and it is also impressive work. I am taking some elements of their process with me
into my classes at Cal Poly.
In my opinion, we are receiving world-class marketing work. We are fortunate to have this
caliber of support for such a small City. I highly encourage the Council to accept these
proposals.
