RESOLUTION NO. 1540
.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE HONORING FLOYD MUSSARD FOR
HIS SERVICE TO ARROYO GRANDE HIGH SCHOOL AND
THE CITIZENS OF.THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, FLOYD MUSSARD is retiring after 16 years of teaching at
Arroyo Grande High Scho01; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Mussard's first five years were spent at Frances
Judkins Intermediate Scho01 where he taught government and voca1 music
and was a counselor and Vice-Principa1; and
WHEREAS, in his 16 years at Arroyo Grande High School, Mr. Mussard
has taught government, psychology and music; and
WHEREAS, the Voca1 Music Department at Arroyo Grande High School
has produced three large concerts each year for the community's enjoyment,
which Mr. Mussard has instructed; and
WHEREAS, the Arroyo Grande High Scho01 Eag1e Aires and a Cappe11a
Choirs compete, under his direction, with others in the county and throughout
the state and consistent1y receive a superior rating.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
uOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That it recognizes the accomplishments of Floyd Mussard to
the students of Lucia Mar School District.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Counci1 of tne City of Arroyo
Grande wishes continued health, contentment and good wishes to' FLOYD MUSSARD.
On motion of Council Member Mil1is, seconded by Council Member
Gallagher, and on the f0110wing roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Vandeveer, Gallagher, Millis, Hogan, Mayor Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day of May, 1982.
