IMPACT ON FINANCIAL AND PERSONNEL RESOURCES: There is no financial or staffing impact from the recommended action. RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended the City Council appoint Yvette Eagles to the Arroyo Grande Tourism Business Improvement District Advisory Board. From its inception, the AGTBID Board consisted of three (3) members from the lodging industry. On February 13, 2018, the Council approved an amendment to the AGTBID Bylaws amending the AGTBID Board membership to a minimum of three (3) but not more than nine (9) members, 2/3rds of which shall be owners of lodging businesses within the AGTBID or others with knowledge of tourism and/or the lodging industry. ANALYSIS OF ISSUES: There are currently three active members on the AGTBID Advisory Board. Previous Board Member David Kastner, who served on the Board from 2016 to 2020, recently completed his term and will be retiring from his Marketing Coordinator position at the Clark Center at the end of the year. Yvette Eagles, who is taking over as Marketing and Development Director for the Clark Center, has expressed interest in serving on the Board and has submitted an application.
