RESOLUTION NO. l517
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
AUTHORIZING AN ADDENDUM TO THE CENTRAL COAST
CITIES JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING
THE CENTRAL COAST SELF-INSURANCE FUND
WHEREAS, the Cities of Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Grover City,
Guadalupe, Morro Bay, Paso Robles, Pismo Beach, Santa Maria, Santa Paula
and San Luis Obispo have entered into a Joint Powers Agreement relating
to Workers' Compensation dated July 1, 1977, which Agreement is incorporated
herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, said Cities have entered into an Addendum to Joint
Powers Agreement relating to liability Insurance dated July 1, 1978,
which Addendum is Incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lompoc wishes to participate in the Central
Coast Self-Insurance Fund, only as it relates to the purchase of eXc~ss
liability insurance;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
1- In exchange for participation In the purchase of excess
liability insurance through the Central Coast Self-Insurance Fund, the
City of Lompoc agrees to pay its pro rata portion of the cost to the Central
Coast Self-Insurance Fund for such excess liability insurance. The Ci ty of
Lompoc further agrees to comply with the terms and conditions of the
Joint Powers Agreement dated July I, 1977, and the Addendum dated
July 1, 1978, insofar as they relate to the purchase of excess liability
insurance.
2. This Agreement shall not be construed as entitling the City
0f Lompoc to participate in the Central Coast Self-Insurance Fund or
creating any obligations on the part of the City to the Fund with regard
to the Fund's General Liability or Workers' Compensation programs other
than as provided in Paragraph I of this Agreement.
On motion of Council Member Vandeveer, seconded by Council
Member Hogan, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: CounGil Members Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer, Mayor Pope
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Member Smith
