RESOLUTION NO. 33 1 5
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
CALIFORNIA DESIGNATING PLAY EQUIPMENT REMOVED
FROM STROTHER AND ELM STREET PARKS AS SURPLUS
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is currently in the process of
replacing used and worn out play equipment at I;lm Street and Strother Parks; and
WHEREAS, the equipment being removed and -replaced is of no use to the City since it
does not meet federal Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for access; and
WHEREAS, City staff has been approached by community members as' to the
possibility of purchasing the old equipment; and
, WHEREAS, disposal of the play equipment requires City Council approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande, California as follows:
The play equipment being removed at Strother and Elm Street Park is
declared to be surplus (Exhibit A) and staff is authorized to dispose of this
equipment in the most cost effective manner.
On motion of Council Member Fuller , seconded by Council Member
Lady , and on the following roll call vote. to wit:
AYES:Council Members Fuller, Lady, Tolley, and Mayor Dougall
NOES:None
ABSENT: Council Member Runels
