R 1512 U7L - ~ _J RESOLUTION NO. 1512 . A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORHIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN lUIS OBISPO TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO SAID CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TUESDAY, APRIL 13, 1982 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the City of Arroyo Grande, California, on Apri I 13, 1982; and WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and in relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling place information to the registered voters of the City, and it will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Luis Obispo will make available to said City computer labels with the names and addresses of all eligible registered voters and polling place location in order that labels may be attached to self-mailer sample ballot pamphlets; and WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performiryg this service shall be paid by the City of Arroyo Grande; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: That pursuant to the provisions of Section 2203 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City for use in conducting said election computer lables with the names and address of all eligible registered voters in said City and polling place location in order that the City may have labels attached to self-mailer sample ballot pamphlets; and will also furnish to the City printed indices of the voters to be used by the precinct board at the polling place; and will make available to the City additional election equipment and assistance according to state law. SECTION 2: That said City shall reimburse said County for services performed when the work is completed and upon presentation to the City of a properly approved bill. SECTION 3: That the City Clerk Is hereby directed to forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution. On motion of Council Member Millis, seconded by Council Member Vandeveer, and on the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Council Members Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer, Mayor Pope NOES: None ABSENT: Council Member Smith the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 8th day of December, 1981.
