RESOLUTION N0. 1508
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
Ff{tR0Y0 GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF
THE GENERAL DISTRICT ELECTION CONSOLIDATED WITH
THE COUNTY-WIDE SCHOOL DISTRICT/GENERAL DISTRICT
ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ON THE
3RD DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1981, DECLARING THE RESULT
THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED
BY LAW
WHEREAS, a general district election, consolidated with the
County-wide school district/general district election, was held in the
City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 1981; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in
time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting precincts were
properly established;. that election officers were appointed and that in
all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat,
received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, forth
and manner as required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the
State of California for the holding of elections in cities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 1490 adopted the 6th day
of August, 1981, the County Clerk of the County of San Luis Obispo canvassed
the returns of said election and has certified the results to this City
Council, said results are received, attached and made a part hereof as
Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: That there were nine (9) voting precincts established
for the purpose of holding said election consisting of consolidations of
the regular election precincts in the City of Arroyo Grande established
for the holding of state and county elections.
SECTION 2: That at said general district election, the following
measure was submitted to the electors of said City, to wit: *~'
MEASURE A: Shall the ordinance amending a portion of the
zoning map of the City of Arroyo Grande referred to
in Section .302 of Title 9, Chapter 4, of the
Municipal Code so as to rezone certain property in
the City of Arroyo Grande known as Grande Highlands
from ''A" Agricultural to "P-D" Planned Development
zone be adoptedT
MEASURE B: Shall the ordinance prezoning certain unincorporated
territory adjoining the City of Arroyo Grande to
"P-D" Planned Development District, pursuant to
Government Code Section 65859 and Arroyo Grande
Municipal Code Section 9-4.3209 known as the Wells
Property be adoptedT
SECTION 3: That the whole number of votes cast in said City (except
absent voter ballots) was Two Thousand /and Three (2203)•
Two Hundred
That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in said City
was Ninety-Seven (97), making a total of Two Thousand and Three Hundred (2300)
votes cast in said City.

SECTION 4: That the measures voted upon at saictelection is as
set forth under Section 2 of this resolution.
That the number of votes given at each precinct
and the number of votes given in the City for and against the measure
were as listed in Exhibit A.
SECTION 5: The City Council does declare and determine that:
As a result of said election, a majority of the qualified
voters voting on said measures relating to rezoning and
prezoning of property, did not vote in favor thereof,
and that said propositions were not carried, and shall
not be deemed adopted and ratified.
SECTION 6: The City Clerk shall enter on the records of
the City Council of said City, a statement of the result of said election
showing:
i) The whole number of votes cast in the City;
2) The measures voted upon;
3) The number of votes given at each precinct for and
against the measure;
4) The number of votes given in the City for and against each measure.

That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage

Vandeveer, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:

the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 24th day of November, 1981.
