RESOLUTION NO. 1503
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE MAKING APPLICATION TO SAN LUIS
OBISPO COUNTY LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION FOR
THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE STEM ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, It has been requested that certain territory described
In Exhibit A and attached hereto be annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande;
and
WHEREAS, after due consideration by this City, it appears
that the above request is In the publIc Interest to the requesting party
and to this City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council
of the CIty of Arroyo Grande of the County of San Luis Obispo, State of
California, as follows:
I. This proposal, as requested above, Is made pursuant to
the Municipal Organization Act (Government Code Sections 35000, et seq.
2. The names of all cities and districts for which any change
of organization is proposed: the CIty of Arroyo Grande.
3. This proposal involves uninhabited territory, which Is
located in the County of San Luis Obpso, State of California, and Its
exterior boundaries are more particularly described on the attached
document marked Exhibit A, which Is Incorporated herein by reference
as though here fully set forth.
4. The following are reasons for the proposed annexation:
To allow development to occur which is consistent with the General Plan
of the C j ty.
5. The plan for services shall be provided in the attached
Exhibit B.
6. It is hereby requested that proceedings be undertaken by
the San Luis Obispo County Local Agency Formation CommissIon for the proposal
as requested above.
7. The Clerk of said City is hereby directed to file a certified
copy of this resolution with the executIve officer of the San Luis Obispo
County Local Agency Formation Commission.
On motion of Council Member Vandeveer, seconded by Council Member
Hogan, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Hogan and Vandeveer, Mayor Pope
NOES: Council Members Smith and Millis
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 13th day of October, 1981.
