RESOLUTION NO. 1492
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE SUPPORTING THE LONE RANGER IN
HIS EFFORT TO REGAIN HIS RIGHT TO WEAR THE
TRADITIONAL MASK
WHEREAS, it has ben a long tradition for Clayton Moore, the
Lone Ranger, as part of his costume to wear a mask; and
WHEREAS, throughout the years, the Lone Ranger was recognized
and identified by this unique disguise; and I
WHEREAS, the Lone Ranger has consistently promoted law and
order and by his examP1e children of all ages have become his followers;
and
WHEREAS, by Court Order, the Lone Ranger can no longer carry
on the long-standing tradition of wearing his mask in public;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Arroyo Grande hereby supports Clayton Moore, the Lone Ranger,
in his effort to regain his right to wear the traditional mask as
part of his costume at public affairs.
On motion of Council Member Vandeveer, seconded by Council
Member Hogan, and on the fol1owing roll call vote, to wit:
