R 1480 034 ~ ') ~ '. --- RESOLUTI ON NO. 1480 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE SETTING FORTH ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF PACIFIC COAST RAILWAY PLACE, IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING AS PROVIDED BY GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 50430, ET. SEQ. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande elects to proceed with the vacation and abandonment of a portion of Pacific Coast Railway Place, pursuant to Section 50437 of the Government Code of the State of California; and I WHEREAS, it appears that said portion of Pacific Coast Railway Place is unnecessary for present or prospective public use, and WHEREAS, it appears that the abandonment is for the best interests of the pub Ii c. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY - OF ARROYO GRANDE' that it intends to vacate and abandon the here i nafter described portion of Pacific Coast Railway Place, in the City of Arroyo Grande; County of San Luis Obispo, State.of California. For this purpose, to vacate and abandon the hereinafter described portion of Pacific Coast Railway Place, which hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 214 East Branch Street, Arroyo Grande, California on the 14th day of July, 1981 at the hour of 8:00 P.M. At said time, those persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation and abandonment may appear and be heard. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande be. and is herewith directed to cause to be posted along said portion of Pacific Coast Railway Place at intervals not to exceed three hundred feet (300') in distance apart and at least three (3) in number on said road, notices of passage of Resolution, which said notices shall 'be entitled "NOTICE OF INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF PACIFIC COAST RAILWAY PLACE, IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, COUNTY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA". In addition thereto, the City Clerk is herewith ordered and directed to cause a copy of said Resolution to be published at least two successive weeks prior to the hearing in the Five Cities Times-Press- Recorder, a semi-weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of Arroyo Grande, which'publication shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date of said hearing. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Pacif.ic Coast Rai lway Place, which the City of Arroyo Grande proposes to vacate and abandon, is more particularly described as follows: That portion of Railroad Street as delineated on the map I of Walnut Grove Addition, City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of Cal ifornia, fi led for record in Book I of Licensed Surveyor's Map at page 104, records of said County, described as follows: ~"~'.' , ..'<" --- -- 035 , ... Beginning at an iron pipe set in the most westerly corner of Lot 7, Block 3'of .said Walnut Grove Additiqn according to a Record of Survey Map filed for record in Book 14 of licensed Surveyor's Map at page 63, records of said County; thence South 570 30' West 19.44 feet to a point in a non-tangent curve concave to the east having a radius of 475.00 feet; a radial line of said curve through said point bearing South 720 39' 59" West; thence southerly along the arc of curve through a central angle of 130'12' 3~' an arc distance of 109.52 feet to a point on the westerly [ line of said Lot 7 (a radial line through said point bearing'South 590 271 21" West); thence northerly along the said westerly line of said Lot 7 to the point of beginning. Further particulars as to the proposed vacation and abandonment are shown on the map pertaining thereto on file in the office of th City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande.
