RESOLUTION NO. 1475
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE COMMENDING RICARDO J. CASTRO
FOR HIS S~RVICE TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, RICARDO J. CASTRO is leaving the City of Arroyo Grande
on May 29, 1981 after 3 years 'and 9 months of service as Planning Director;
and
WHEREAS, RICARDO has been instrumental in making Arroyo Grande
[ the ~esirable community we know today; and
WHEREAS, RICARDO has always administered his position as department
head of the Planning Department with professionalism, efficiency and
dip lomacy; .and
WHEREAS, RICARDO has been the responsible Planner in charge of
projects including: Rancho Grande, Wildwood Ranch, Knollwood, and
Grande Highlands; and updating the Land Use Element and the Zoning Ordinance
to conform with the General Plan; worked with the Downtown Advisory Board;
and the updating of planning in the Central ~usiness District.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grahde is proud
and appreciative of RICARDO'S dedication to this City and wishes to take
this opportunity to express itself toward this end.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the City Council hereby expresses its thanks and appreciation
to RICARDO for the manner in which he has guided the Planning Commissions
to make this City the highly desirable community that it is today.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande hereby expresses its regret at RICARDO'S leaving the employment
of the City of Arroyo Grande and wishes continued health and contentment
in his futu~e endeavors.
On motion of Council Member Vandeveer, seconded by Council Member
Hogan, and on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Smith, Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer, and Mayor Pope
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 26th day of May, 1981.
