RESOLUTI ON. NO. 1468
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE MAKIN.G APPLICATION TO THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR A PERMIT TO AMEND THE
SOURCE OF DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY FOR THE CITY
OF ARRDYO GRANDE
BE IT RESOLVED by~e City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
that pursuant and subject to all of the terms.. conditions. and provisions
of Division 5, Part I, Chapter 7, Sections 4010 to 4035 of the California
Health and Safety Code and all amendments thereto, relating to domestic
water suppl ies, appl ications by this City be made to the State Department
[ of Health, for a permit to
amend .the .source of domestic water supply to include water from
the careagas sand acquifers, in addition to water supply from
the Lopez Water Project and the present water well system;
furthermore, to construct with a new deep water well an
appropriate mechanical blending system to combine productions
from the proposed and existing facilities in order to meet
California drinking water standards.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of said City Council be
and is hereby author i zed and di rected to cause. the necessa'ry date to be
prepared, and investigations to be made, and In the name of said City
of Arroyo Grande to sign and file such application with the said State
Department of Health.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Arroyo Grande on the 14th day of April, 1981.
