RESOLUTION NO. 1464
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE SETTING FORTH ITS INTENTION TO
VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF ROBLES ROAD, IN
THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE, AND FIXING TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING AS PROVIDED BY GOVERNMENT
CODE SECTION 50430, ET SEQ.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande elects to
proceed with the vacation and abandonment of a portion of Robles Road,
pursuant to Section 50437 of the Government Code of the State of California; I
[ and
WHEREAS, it appears that said portion of Robles Road Is unnecessary
for present or prospective public use, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the abandonment is fo~ the best interests
of the pub Ii c.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ARROYO GRANDE that it intends to vacate and abandon the hereinafter described
portion of Robles Road, in the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis
Obispo, State of California. For this purpose, the City Council will hold
a public hearing in connection with said intention to vacate and abandon
the hereinafter described portion of Robles Road, which hearing will be held
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 214 East Branch Street, Arroyo
Grande, California on the 14th day of April, 1981 at the hour of 8:00 P.M.
At said time, those persons interested in or object'ing to the proposed
vacation and abandonment may appear and be heard.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande
i be, and is herewith directed to cause to be posted along said portion of
Robles Road at intervals not to exceed three hundred feet (300') in distance
apart and at least three (3) in number on said road, notices of passage
of Resolution, which said 'notices shall be entitled "NOTICE OF INTENTION
TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION OF ROBLES ROAD, IN THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE,
COUNTY OF SAN LU I S DB I SPO, STATE OF CALI FORN IA".
In addition thereto, the City Clerk is herewith ordered and directed
to cause a copy of said Resolution to be published at least two successive
weeks prior to the hearing in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder, a semi-
weekly newspaper published and circulated in the City of Arroyo Grande,
which publication shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date of said
hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the portion of Robles Road, which the
City of Arroyo Grande proposes to vacate and abandon, IS more particularly
described as follows:
[ In the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo,
California, being a portion of Oak Street as delineated
on the map of Tract No. 46, recorded in Book 5 of Maps,
Page 64, records of said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the most Easterly corner of Lot 6, Block 4,
of said Tract 46,said corner being on the Northwesterly
right of way line of said Oak Street; thence, along said
Northwesterly 1 ine, N. 320 12' E. 115.00 feet to the most
Easterly corner of Parcel B of Parcel Map CO 75-270,
as recorded in Book 21 of Parcel Maps at Page 24, records
of said County; thence, S. 57048' E. 20.00 feet to the
centerline of said Oak Street; thence, along said centerline
N. 320 12' E. 15.49 feet to a point at right angles to

and 20.00 feet from the most Northerly corner of Lot l,
Block 5, Tract 46; thence, S. 5~ 481 E. 20.00 feet to
said Northerly corner, said corner being on the Southeasterly
right of ,way line of said Oak Street; thence, along said
Southeasterly line, S. 320 l21 W. l30.49 feet to the
Northeasterly line of that portion of said Oak Street
abandoned by Resolution No. 1184 recorded in Book l861
at Page 372, Official Records of said County; thence
N. 570 48' W. 40.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Reserving therefrom over the entire parcel an easement
for the purpose of drainage, water, sewer and utilities
and the right to construct, maintain, operate, replace, I
renew, remove and enlarge'said lines, including access thereto. Ii
