RESOLUTION NO. 1463
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE ANNEXING THE PROPERTY KNOWN
AS EL CAMINO REAL ANNEXATION NO. I TO THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, a proposal for annexation to the City of Arroyo Grande waS
filed with the San Luis Obispo County Local Agency Formation Commission
for annexation; and
WHEREAS, by Government Code Section 35100, et. seq., an election
was held and pursuant to Resolution No. 1462, dated March 10, 1981 and I
listing the canvass of votes of the by-mail ballot election wherein a
majority of .the residents voted to become annexed to the City; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that the territory described
in Exhibit A, attached hereto, be annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council of
the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo. State of California,
as fol1ows:
1. That it is hereby determined that all proceedings prior to this
Resolution in regard to this annexation were valid and in conformity with
the 1aws relating thereto.
2. That it be and is hereby found by this Council that the
annexation of the territory described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, to
the City of Arroyo Grande will be for the interest of the landowners or
present or future inhabitants of the City of Arroyo Grande.
3. That the boundaries of the City of Arroyo Grande be and are
hereby altered to include therein the territory described in Exhibit A,
attached hereto.
4. That the Arroyo Grande City Clerk is hereby directed to file
with the Assessor and with the State Board of Equilization the statement
and map, as required by Government Code Sections 54900, et seq., and to file
with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission a certified
copy of this Resolution as required by Government Code Section 56450, et seq'.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of March, 1981, by the following
roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Smith, Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer, and Mayor Pope
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
