RESOLUTION NO. 1424
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF. ARROYO GRANDE ANNEXING THE GARING-LOS BERROS
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE
WHEREAS, a proposal for annexation to the City of Arroyo Grande was
filed with the San Luis Obispo County Local Agency Formation Commission; and
WHEREAS, by Its Resolution No. 80-9, dated July 17, 1980, the Local
Agency Formation Commission gave Its approval to said annexation designating said
annexation as "Garing-Los Berros Annexation to the City of Arroyo Grande", finding
r that all persons owning property within the area to be annexed had consented to
said annexation, and authorizing this Council to annex said territory without
further notice, hearing, or election, pursuant to Government Code section 56261; and

l WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that the territory described
In Exhibit A, attached hereto, be annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande, without
further notice, hearing, or election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED by the City Council of.
the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, as
follows:
I. That It is hereby determined that all proceedings prior to this
Resolution in regard to this annexation were valid and in conformity with the
laws relating thereto.
2. That it be and is hereby found by this Council that the annexation
of the territory described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, to the City of Arroyo
Grande will be for the interest of the landowners or present or future
inhabitants of the City of Arroyo Grande.
3. That the boundaries of the City of Arroyo Grande be and are hereby
I altered to include therein the territory described in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
4. That the Arroyo Grande City Clerk is hereby directed to file with
the Assessor and with the State Board of Equalization the statement and map,
as required by Government Code Sections 54900, et seq., and to file with the
Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission a certified copy of
this Resolution as required by Government Code Section 56450, et seq.

Parcel to be annexed to City of Arroyo Grande:
That portion of lot 101 of parts of the Ranchos Corral
de Piedra, Pismo Bolsa de Chemisal, subdivided by Jas. T.
Stratton, September 1875, in the County of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, as recorded in Book A of Maps at Page
65, records of said county, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the County
Road No. 134 with the East line of Valley Road, said point.
being the most westerly ,corner of Tract 501 as shaWn on a map.
of said tract recorded in Book 8 of Maps at Page 47, records
of San Luis Obispo County, said point of beginni~g also being
the point ox beginning of Valley Road No. 2 Annexation;
thence, southeasterly following the northerly boundary
of County Road No. 134 said boundary being the city limit of
said Valley Road No. 2 Annexation and also being the south-
westerly boundary of Tract said 501 South 460 49' 54" East
498.78 feet to the northerly line of the Los Berros Creek
Diversion Channel recorded in Book 1075 Page 518 of official
records in said county; .
thence, leaving said city limit line and following the
northerly line of said Diversion Channel westerly on a 655 foot
radius curve concave southerly through a central angle of
50 28' 04". for a distance of 62.51 feet to a point;
thence, North 890 20' 54" West 307.38 feet along the northerly
line of said Diversion Channel to a point on the easterly line . .
