R 5167 RESOLUTION NO. 5167 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE APPROVING ARROYO GRANDE COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANT PROGRAM ALLOCATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021-22 WHEREAS, on September 23, 2014, the City Council approved the Community Service Grant Program (CSGP)process and annually budgets funds to implement the program; and WHEREAS, on March 14, 2017, the City Council renamed the Community Service Grant Program the Jim Guthrie Community Service Grant Program (JGCSGP); and WHEREAS, on June 9, 2020, the City Council renamed the Jim Guthrie Community Service Grant Program (JGCSGP) back to the Community Service Grant Program (CSGP); and WHEREAS, City Council authorized $57,065 of funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) received by the City to supplement the $25,000 budgeted for the 2021-2022 Community Service Grant Program, bringing the total funding available for this program in FY 2021-22 to $82,065; and WHEREAS, the City received a total of twenty-two (22) applications requesting a total of $169,178 from the 2021-22 CSGP; and WHEREAS, the City Council established a CSGP Grant Panel (the "Panel") consisting of one member from each of the City's current advisory boards and the South County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; and WHEREAS, the Panel convened on March 2, 2022 to develop recommendations for City Council's consideration; and WHEREAS, on March 8, 2022, the City Council considered the recommendations of the Panel and approved funding for certain proposed CSGP programs. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande hereby approves funding for the 2021-22 CSGP projects as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, subject to all of the rules, requirements, and regulations applicable to the CSGP and its grant recipients.
