ADOPTION OF RESOLUTIONS DIRECTING THE LEVY OF THE ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE:

Compliance with the California Landscape and Lighting Act of 1972:
1.) Adopt a Resolution describing any proposed new improvements and ordering preparation and filing of an engineer’s report.
Resolutions adopted on April 22, 2022 for the 3 Assessment Districts and Ordered the preparation and filing of the Annual Engineer’s Reports.
No new improvements or substantial changes in existing improvements were/are proposed.

2.) Approve the Engineer’s Report and adopt a Resolution of Intention to levy and collect assessments under the subject assessment districts for the upcoming fiscal year. It also states
whether the assessment is proposed to change from the previous year and sets a date, hour and place for a public hearing.
Engineer's Reports approved on May 10th, 2022 declaring the intent to levy and collect assessments.
3.) Conduct the public hearing affording all interested parties the opportunity to hear and be heard.
Tonight’s hearing satisfies this and the last step of the process.
And adopt Resolutions confirming the assessments, which constitutes the levy of the assessments for the 2022-23 fiscal year.
The subject of tonight’s June 26, 2018 City Council meeting.

RECOMMENDATION: 1) Conduct a public hearing for the levy and collection of assessments for the Parkside Village Assessment District, Grace Lane Assessment District, and Landscaping and
Lighting Assessment District No. 1 within Tract 1769;
2) Adopt a Resolution directing the levy of the annual assessment for the Parkside Village Assessment District pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (Streets and Highways
Code Sections 22500 et. seq.) for Fiscal Year 2022-2023;
3) Adopt a Resolution directing the levy of the annual assessment for the Grace Lane Assessment District pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (Streets and Highways Code
Sections 22500 et. seq.) for Fiscal Year 2022-2023; and
4) Adopt a Resolution directing the levy of the annual assessment for the Landscaping and Lighting Assessment District No. 1 within Tract 1769, pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting
Act of 1972 (Streets and Highways Code Sections 22500 et. seq.) for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
