RESOLUTION NO. 1285
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE, DES I GNATI NG AN ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR THE COUNTY-
WIDE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN.
WHEREAS, the County of San Luis Obispo and its Incorporated citIes are
required by Section 66796 of the GC!>vernment CC!>de to designate an enforcement
agency to carry out the prC!>vislons of the Z'Berg-Kapiloff SC!>lld Waste Control
Act of 1976; and
WHEREAS the Division C!>f Environmental Health of the County of San Luis Obispo
pos.s.esses the requl,r>> capabll !ties in envl ronmental health and sol ial' waste
management to Implement the Z'Berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act of 1976 and the
regulattQns and ordinances that have been and will be adopted pursuant thereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of EnvirC!>nmental Health of the County of San Luis
Obispo has been given sufficient personnel and an adequate budget to carry out
the enforcement program specIfied by law; and
WHEREAS, the San Luis OblspC!> County-Wide Solid Waste Management Plan
provides for Its implementation by the Division of Environmental Health of the
County of San Luis Obispo; and
WHEREAS, the County and each city within the County of San Luis IiIbispo
has designated or will designate its C!>wn enforcement agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEO by the City Council of the City of Arroyo
Grande that it hereby designates the DlvislC!>n of Environmental Health of the
County of San Luis IiIblspo as the enforcement agency for the City of Arroyo Grande, I
pursuant to subsection (a)(3) of Section 6679' of the Government Code.
On motion of Councilman Splerllng, seconded by C0uncllman Gallagher and
on the following roll c~11 vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Spierling, Gallagher, Schlegel, Millis and MaY0r de Leon
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 1 h day of June, 1977.
