. RESOLUTION NO. 1243
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS
TO FILE A WRITTEN ARGUMENT FOR A CITY MEASURE.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election Is to be held in the City of Arroyo
Grande on November 2, 1976, at which there will be submitted to the qualified
electors of said City the following City measure:
SHALL AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO MANDATORY GARBAGE
COLLECTION, THE GRANTING OF A GARBAGE FRANCHISE
AND COLLECTION OF SERVICE CHARGES BY THE CITY,
BE ADOPTED?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande, California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follows:
SECTION 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of the City
of Arroyo Grande, hereby authorIzes
GABE de LEON, Mayor
MARK M. MILLIS
CALVIN H. SCHLEGEL
AL SPIERLING
MATT P. GALLAGHER, JR.
members of said body, to file a written argument for the City measure set forth
In the recitals hereof In accordance wIth Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the
Elections Code of the State of California and to change said argument until and
Including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against
said City measure may be submitted to her.
On motion of Councilman Schlegel, seconded by Councilman Gallagher and
on the following roll call vote, towlt:
AYES: Councilmen Gallagher, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor de Leon
NOES: None'
ABSENT: Councilman Splerllng
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 24th day of August, 1976.
