A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

WHEREAS, the City Council Of the City of Arroyo Grande
called a special municipal election in the City of Ar royo Grande
to be held on November 2 , 19~, for the purpose of submitting
to the qualified voters of the City of Arroyo Grande proposi tions'
concerning mandatory garbage co.11ection and the rezoning of certain property
as hereinafter set forth; and
It is desirable that said special municipal election be
consolidated with the statewide general election to be held on
the same date and that within the City of Arroyo Grande the pre-
cincts, polling places and election officers of the two elections
be the same, and that the County Cl~rk of the County of
San Luis Obispo canvass the returns of the special municipal election
and that said statewide genera I election and special municipal
election be held in all respects as if there were only one election;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
does hereby resolve, determine, and order as follows:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of Section
23302 of the Elections Code, the Board of Supervisors of the
County of San Luis Obispo be and it hereby is requested tO,consent
and agree to ,the consolidation of a special municipal election
with the statewide !')eneral election on Tuesday, the 2nd
day of November , 19_~, for the purpose of sUbmitting to the
electors of the City of Arroyo Grande propo.s i t ions,. \ to appear
on the ballot as follows:

SECTION 2. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized
to canvass the returns of said special municipal election which
it is hereby requested to consolidate with said statewide ~eral
.
election and said election shall be held in all respects as if
there were only one election, and only one form of ba.llot shall
be used.
SECTION 3. Said Board of Supervisors is hereby requested
to issue instructions to the County Clerk to take any and all
steps necessary for the holding of said consolidated election.
SECTION 4. The City of Arroyo Grande recognizes that
additional costs will be incurred by the County by reason of
this consolidation and agrees to reimburse the County for any
such costs.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk of the City of Ar!:2}'o Grande
is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this resolution
with the County Clerk of the County of San Luis Obispo.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande at a regular meeting thereof held on the 10th
