A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' ARROYO
GRANDE REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 917 AND ADOPTING A HOLiDAY
SCHEDULE FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THElCITY OF ARROYO GRANDE BY
AMENDING SECTION 7, RULE X OF RESOLUTION NO. 606.
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed under provisions of
Section 2-3.02 of the Municipal Code to adopt revisions and amendments to the
Personnel System Rules and Regulations of the City of Arroyo Grande as adopted
by Resolution No. 606;
. . NOW: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEO that Resolution No. 917 is hereby repealed
In Its entirety.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande
that Section 7, Rule X, of Resolution No. 606 Is hereby amended as follows:
SECTi ON 7. Ho 1 I days: Municipal offices shall be closed on the following

a. every Sunday
b. January 1
c. February 12th, known as "Lincoln's Oay"
d. third Monday in February (Washington's Birthday observed)
e. the last Monday in May (Memorial Day)
f. July 4th
g. first Monday in September (Labor Day)
h. September 9th, known as "Admission Day"
L the second Monday in October, known as "Columbus Day"
J. November 11th, known as "Veteran's Day"
k. Thanksgiving Day
L the day following Thanksgiving Oay
m. December 25th
n. Good Friday, from 12 noon until 3 P.M.
o. every day appointed by the President or Governor or Mayor for
public fast, thanksgiving, or holiday
p. and if January I, February 12, July 4, September 9, November 11 or
December 25 falls upon a Sunday, the Monday following is a holJday
q. for the year 1976 only, February 13th.
On motion of Councilman Millis, seconded by Councilman Spierling and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Counci lmen Spierl lng, -de Leon, Schlegel, Mi Ills and Mayor Ta11ey
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 13th day of January, 1976.
