RESOLUTION NO. 1183
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ARROYO GRANDE NAMING THE SHORT STREET PARK
AREA "THE VILLAGE GREEN"
WHEREAS, it has been established by Resolution No. 735 that the Parks
and Recreation Commission will recommend names for City Parks to the City
Council for Its approval and adoptIon; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has corisldered ~ames to be
used for identification of certain park areas In the City of Arroyo Grande and
has recommended, as a result of,recommendatlons from the Parking and Business
Improvement Area Advisory Board and the Downtown Merchants' Association, that
the park area at the end of Short Street and part of the Civic Center Complex
be named "THE VILLAGE GREEN" and be so approved and adoPted by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
That the park area at the end of Short Street and part of the Civic
Center Complex is hereby officially named "T~E VILLAGE GREEN", as recomnended
by the Parks and Recreation Commission.
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Spierling and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Spierling, de leon, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor Talley
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 14th day of October, 1975,
