RESOLUTION NO. ll40 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE REQUESTING THE STATE DEPARTMENT ()F' TRANSPORTATION AND THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO APPROVE AMENDED FEDERAL AID URBAN PROJECTS FOR THE ARROYO GRANDE URBAN AREA, WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States has, in the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1973, declared it to be in the natioP~l interest for Federal Funds to be expended for highway projects on the Federal-Aid Urban System; and WHEREAS, based on the 1970 Census, the Bureau of the Census has designated Arroyo Grande as an Urban Area; and WHEREAS, before Federal-Aid will be made available for Urban System projects within this Urban Area, the Federal-Aid Urban Projects must be designated; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows: 1. The City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande requests that the Federal-Aid Urban Projects, as shown on the attached Exhibit "A", be approved by the State Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. 2.
