RESOLUTION NO. ll37
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE REQUESTING AUTHORIZATION TO CLOSE A CITY STREET
WHEREAS, the village merchants of the City of Arroyo Grande have
requested closure of a portion of Branch Street in the City of Arroyo Grande,
State of California for a short period of time; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of closure will be for purposes of conducting a
street dance in conjunction with an annual Christmas Tree decorating ceremony
in the downtown area of Arroyo Grande on the afternoon of December 14, 1974,
from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. of said day; and
WHEREAS, in the event of closure, traffic will be re-routed from
Branch Street along Bridge Street to Nelson Street, along Nelson Street for
two blocks to Mason Street and on Mason Street back to Branch Street; and
WHEREAS, the Arroyo Grande Police Department will arrange for signing,
detouring of traffic and all traffic control during the period of time that
said street is closed,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande Rereby
resolved as follows:
L That request be made of the State of California Department of
Transportation for permission to close Branch Street from Nevada Street to
Mason Street on December 14, 1974, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M.
2, The City Council authorizes closure of said street upon receipt
of approval from the State Department of Transportation to said closure.
On motion of Councilman Spierling, seconded by Councilman de Leon and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Spierling, de Leon, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor Talley
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 10th day of December, 1974.
