RESOLUTION NO, 1134
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE ADOPTING THE SEISMIC SAFETY ELEMENT OF THE
ARROYO GRANDE CITY GENERAL PLAN,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Arroyo Grande has prepared
a general plan report, together with general plan maps, entitled the "Seismic
Safety Element",. as t'Gquired by Go\.reri.t'l;ah::'At Cad.e Section. 65302 (f), and did all
things legally and tedmically requJ.re<1 by law to d<,velop reports and maps
adequate in scope and authority to "erVe the pU.:r:p05\>Z!'S of a general plan; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to GovermQont Code Section 65501 et seq. the City
Council gave required notice and did hold 8 puhli" hearing on November 13, 1974,
for the purpose of considering the adoptJ.on of the Seismic Safety Element of the
General plan report and maps, and at which public hearing the Seismic Safety
Element, reports and maps were di.splayed, explained 8,nd reported upon; and
WHEREAS, said Seismic Safety Element of the General Plan report and
maps thereof are necessary for sound nlture co~~nity development, the
preservation of community valucH, and the promotion of the general health,
safety, convenience an,l welfar'? of the citizens of the City of Arroyo Grande;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLJ1JWS:
Sec tion 1. The City Council of the City ,)f Arroyo Grande does hereby
find and determine thaI: the pl!bH.c lnterest, couv<m'.eHce and necessity require
that the Seismic Safety Element of the C"neral 1'1"", be adopted,
Section 2. Th" City Coullcil of the City of An:oyo Grande does hereby
adopt the Seismic Safety Element of the Gener,al Pla~.
On motion of Connc ilman Millis, se"<'tlded hy Cmmcilman Spierling and on
the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Cont1e;,lmen SpJ.crl:ing, de won, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor Talley

ABSENT: None
the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 13th day of November, 1974.
