R 1115 . , - -_.", . RESOLUTION NO. 1115 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED TO ANNEX TO SAiD CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED . HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "VALLEY ROAD ANNEXATION NO.3". AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE: 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of Government Code Sections ),303, 35305 and 35310.1, et seq., proceedings have been initiated and all the pr<'l'erty .)wners of said territory have heretofore filed their consent, to annex to t CIty of Arrovo Grande all that uninhabited territory situate in the County San Luis Obispo, State of California, hereby designated as "Valley Road Annexation No, 3", described as follows: All that land contiguous to the City of Arroyo Grande, in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, included within the following: Conunencing at a stone marked "H.B," in the line between Lots 109 and 110 of Stratton's Survey of the Ranchos Corral de Piedra, Pismo and Bolsa de Chemisal. said stone being 10 chains east from the Southwest corner of the lot of land conveyed to Henry Bakeman by George Steele, I, C, Steele, and E. W. Steele by deed dated October 18, 1887, a,nd recorded in BookJ of deeds at page 252, et seq, and running thence east 1254 feet more or less to a stake at the Southeast corner of said Lot 109; thence North 660 feet to a stake marked "A", thence West 1254 feet more or less to the Northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed to Thomas E, Hodges by Henry Bakeman and Eliza Bakeman by deed dated May 5th, 1884, a,nd recorded in Book "s" of 'deeds at page 128; thence South along the East line of the land of Thomas E, Hodges above named, 660 feet more or less to 'the point of beginning and containing 20 acres, more or less. 2, That the Council of the City of Arroyo Grande desires to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Arroyo Grande for the following reasons: The territory is contiguous to the City of Arroyo Grande, and its proposed annexation will contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and development of both the City and the territory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and contribut,. t" the proper and orderly layout, design and construction of streets, gutters, sidewalks, sanitary and storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both within the City and within the territory proposed to be annexed; and will provide and facilitate proper overall planning and zoning of lands, and sub- division of lands in said City and said uninhabited territory, in a manner most conducive to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited territory. 3, That the Local Agency Formation C~ission of San Luis Obispo County, California, did in sessiota duly assembled on Thursday, August 1, 1974. approve the proposed "Valley Road Annexation No, 3" as above described, and as submitted to said Commi",ion by Charles, M, Baker, 4, That Tuesday, September 24, 1974, at the hour ofB:OO P.M. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall at 214 E. Branch Street, City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where any person not owning real property within the uninhsbited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of Arroyo Grande, .and having anv objections to the proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of th" City of Arroyo Grande and show cause why such uninhabited terri- tory should not be so annexed to said City of Arroyo Grande, Such protest must be in writing, may he filed at any time prior to the final adjournment of the hearing on protests t" the proposed annexation, and shall state the name or nan'es of the owner or owners of property affected, and the description and area n f such prOpt'rty, in general tt' nns. 5.
