RESOLUTION NO, 1106
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE REQUES TING GENERAL PLAN ELEMENT TIME EXTENS IONS ,
WHEREAS, the Government Code of the State of California, in Chapters
3 and 4 of Title 7, directs each city and county to prepare and adopt a
comprehensive, long-term General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the General Plan is composed of a number of separate elements;
and

WHEREAS, the Gouncil on Intergovernmental Relations has established a
deadline for the completion of the General Plan elements; and
WHEREAS, the Seismic Safety Element, the Noise Element, the Safety
Element, and the Scenic HighWay Element are required to be prepared and
adopted by September 20, 1974; and
WlffiREAS, Section 65302.2 of the Government Code authorizes that the
Council on Intergovernmental Relations, upon application by a city or county,
may, in cases of extreme hardship, grant an extension of the due dates for
such elements for a reasonable period of time,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Arroyo Grande finds that an extreme hardship exists in meeting the established
deadline dates for the Seismic Safety, Noise, Safety and Scenic Highway
Elements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Arroyo Grande City Council hereby
requests a time extension for the preparation and adoption of the above
named Elements as indicated on Exhibit "A" entitled "Request for General
Plan Element Extensions",
On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Spier ling and
on the following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Spier ling, de Leon, Schlegel, Millis and Mayor Talley
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 25th day of June, 1974,
