R 1070 -.. . , RESOLUTION NO. 1070 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE CREATING AN ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO BE KNOWN AS THE WOMAN'S CLUB OF ARROYO GRANDE COMMUNITY CENTER COMMITTEE. WHEREAS , the Woman's Club of Arroyo Grande, a California non-profit corporation, has entered into an agreement with the City of Arroyo Grande relating to the Woman's Club of Arroyo Grande COIm!lUn:lty Center, ar.d by the terms of that agreement, the Woman's Club of Arroyo Grande has heretofore deeded rea'l property herein referred to as the "Woman's Club of Arroyo Grande Community Center" to the City of Arroyo Grande, and WHEREAS, by the terms of that agreement, the City of Arroyo Grande is to appoint an Advisory Committee of four (4) to five (5) members to administer said property, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Co':.mcil of the City of Arroyo Grande as follows: Section 1. Establisltment of Committee. A "Woman's Club of Arroyo Grande Community Center" Connnittee for the City is h.:reby c,J:r,ated, Said Ccrcrmittee shall consist of five (5) members, aU of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council, At least two (2) of the Ccmm:!.ttee members shall be members of the Woman's Club of Arroyo Grande, ,,,110 sha,ll hava been selected for said Committee by the W~~lan's Club; and at least two (2) shall be members of the Arroyo Grande City Parks and Recreation Commission, Sec tion 2. Term of Office; Vacancies. Of the members of tb; Committee first appointed, two (2) shall be appointed for a term of tw;) (2) Ji.;~ars and three (3) shall be appointed for a tenn of three (3) years, Their successors shall be appointed for terms of three (3) years upon the expiration of each term and if a vacancy shall occur, the Mayor, with the approval of the Council, shall appoint a qualified person for the unexpired portion of the term. Section 3. Meetings; Adoption of Resolutions, The Committee shall meet at least once every three (3) months upon a day at a time and in a place designated from time to time by resolutions adopted by the Committee and at such other times as the Committee may deem necessary or advisable, Section 4. Powers and Duties, The Committee shall have the powers, duties, jurisdiction and capacity as follows: a. To act in an advisory capacity to the Arroyo Grande City Council in all matters pertaining to the "Woman's Club of ArqrJo Grande Connnunity Center", and specifically the following: (1) Relating to the scheduling of use of said Center and to establishing rental charges and conditions fer said Center, (ii) Relating to the maintenance of the building, grounds and parking area for said Center, (iii) Proposal of a suggested budget for maintenance and administration of said Center. (iv) Proposal of policies for development, expansion and improvement of said Cent':r. (v) To perform such ot.her duties relating to thl2; Center as may be prescribed by the City Council.
