ORDINANCE 225 C.S.
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ARRDYO GRANDE AMENDING CHAPTER 12
OF TITLE 8 OF THE ARROYO GRANDE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT BY
REFERENCE TO THE 1979 UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF
DANGEROUS BUILDINGS; REPEAL OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Chapter 12 of Title 8 of the Arroyo Grande Municipal Code
is amended to read as follows
Section 8-12.01 ADOPTION OF UNIFORM CODE fOR THE ABATEMENT-OF

For the purpose of providing a just, equitable and practicable i
method, to be cumulative with and in addition to, any other remedy provided by i
the Building Code, Housing Code, or otherwise available at law, whereby I
buildings or structures which fram any cause endanger the life, limb, health, i
morals, property, safety or welfare of the general public or occupants may I
be required to be repaired, vacated or demolished, that certain code designated I
as the Uniform Code for the abatement of dangerous buildings, 1979 Edition, i
published by the International Conference of Building Officials, three (3) I
copies of which have been filed for use and examination by the public In the I
office of the City Clerk, is hereby adopted by reference and made a part of this I
chapter as though set forth in this chapter in full, subject, however, to the
amendments, addi~ons and deletions set forth in this chapter and said Code
shall be known as the Dangerous Building Code for the City of Arroyo Grande.
Section 2: That Ordinance No. 50 C.S. of the City of Arroyo Grande
entitled Dangerous Building Code 1970 Edition and all other Ordinances or parts
of Ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed.

Section 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty I
(30) days after its passage, it shall be published once, together with the names 'I:
of the Councilpersons voting thereon, in the Five Cities Times-Press-Recorder. .
On motion of Council Member Vandeveer, seconded by Council Member Smith, I
and on the following roll call vote, to wit: Ii
AYES: Council Members Smith. Hogan, Millis, Vandeveer, and Mayor Pope
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
