R 1053 ~ RESOlUTION NO, 1053 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF "JOE" STREET (STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE SECTION 8323, ET SEQ,). WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grar~e has elected to proceed under provisions of Streets and Highways Code Section 8321, et seq., and in accordance with the provisions thereof, by resolution, the Arroyo Grande City Council set the time and place for public hearing of protests for the vacation of said City street at 8:00 P.M" July 24, 1973, in the Arroyo Grande City Council Chambers; and WHEREAS, the City Council has found, on the basis of evidence produced at the public hearing, that the hereinafter described public street is unnecessary for present or future public street purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the hereinafter described Arroyo Grande City Street be abandoned and it is so ordered. In the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, that certain strip of land, approximately 60 feet in width, dedicated to the City of Arroyo Grande for future street purposes, lying between Block 2 and Block 3 of Tract 150 as recorded in Volume 6 at Page 18 of Maps, records of said County and being further described as follows: Beginning at the southeast corner of said Block 3, thence North 30 13' East along the easterly line of said Block 3 a distance of 69,41 feet to a point of tangency; thence in a Northerly and Westerly direction on a curve to the left with a radius of 15,00 feet through a central angle of 890 58' an arc distance of 23,57 feet to a point on the southerly line of Montego Street; thence South 860 45' East along the southerly line of Montego Street a distance of 90.00 feet to a point on the northerly line of said Block 2; thence in a Westerly and Southerly direction on the arc of a curle concave southeasterly with a radius of 15,00 feet through a central angle of 900 OS' an arc distance of 23.55 feet to a point; thence South 30 13' West along the westerly line of said Block 2 a distance of 69.39 feet to a point on the southerly line of said Tract 150; thence North 860 45' West along the southerly line of Tract No, 150 a distance of 60,00 feet to the point of beginning, RESERVING THEREFROM a thirty foot (30') strip, fifteen feet (IS') on either side of the centerline thereof of said street, commonly known as "Joe" Street, to be abandoned, to be reserved for purposes of drainage, water, sewer and utilities and the right to construct, maintain, operate, replace, renew, remove and enlarge said lines, including access thereto, On motion of Councilman de Leon, seconded by Councilman Talley and on the following roll call vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Talley, Millis, Wood, de Leon and Mayor Schlegel NOES: None ABSENT: None the foregoing resolution was ATTEST: ~!J.~ ~ CITY CLERK I, Ines A, del Campo, City Clerk of the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, do herehy certify that the foregoing Resolution No, 1053 is a true, full and correct copy of said resolution passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande at a regular meeting of said Council held on the 24th day of July, 1973, WITNESS my hand and the seal of the City of Arroyo Grande affixed this 25th day of July, 1973.
