RESOLUTION NO. 1040
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARROYO
GRANDE SETTING FORTH ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THE ALLEYS
IN BLOCK 2 OF THE WALNUT GROVE ADDITION AND FIXING TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING AS PROVIDED FOR BY STREETS AND
HIGHWAYS CODE SECTION 8320, ET SEQ.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Arroyo Grande finds that public
interest and convenience requires the vacation of certain real property used
for street purposes in Block 2 of the Walnut Grove Addition in the City of
Arroyo Grande,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Arroyo Grande City Council
elects to proceed under provisions of Streets and Highways Code Section 8320,
8321 and 8322 in Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, thereof;
That said streets to be vacated are described in that certain map on
file with the City Clerk, a copy of which is herein incorporated by reference;
and more particularly described as follows:
In the City of Arroyo Grande, County of San Luis Obispo,
State of California, that fifteen foot (IS') Alley and
that eighteen foot (18') Alley in Block 2 of Walnut Grove
Addition recorded March 7, 1908, in Book 1 at Page 104 of
Records of Survey, records of said county.
That the time and place of hearing protests of the vacation of said
streets is hereby fixed as follows: Arroyo Grande City Council Chambers,
214 East Branch Street, Arroyo Grande, California, at 8:00 o'clock P,M" on
the 22nd day of May, 1973;
That the City Clerk shall publish this resolution at least once in the
Five Cities Times-press-Recorder not less than fifteen (15) days prior to said
hearing.
On motion of Councilman Wood, seconded by Councilman Millis and on the
following roll call vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Millis, Talley, Wood and Mayor Schlegel
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman de Leon
the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted this 24th day of April, 1973.
